In order for the washing process to go on as scheduled, please ensure that your outdoor water spigots are turned on. You can usually access the water shut off valve in the basement of your house.

2: Trim Back Your Bushes And Plants

When washing your house siding, it is best to thoroughly clean behind bushes and other hard to reach areas. This is best because any algae or mold left on the siding can grow back much quicker than if the entire house surface is thoroughly cleaned.

3: Strategic Scheduling

If you are planning on washing your house it is wise to consider other projects that you have lined up and schedule accordingly. For example, if you have a mulching or landscaping project scheduled, it is usually a good idea to schedule your house wash before installing mulch as the washing will not have an effect on the mulch. If you plan on having your gutters cleaned, it is smart to schedule your house washing afterwards because gutter cleaning can sometimes cause dirt from the gutters to get on the siding.
